Information:

Hunters must have reservations when arriving at the Ranch.  All hunters will be required to show a valid Texas Hunting license and sign a liability release on arrival.  Guns must also be sighted in before arrival. 

Climate:  In December through February, you can see temperatures sometimes dropping into the teens, although milder winters are usually the rule.  Summer temperatures are commonly in the high nineties with evening temperatures in the mid-seventies.  Spring and Fall temperatures are generally very mild.

Access to the Ranch:  Mew Ranch is located 150 miles south of San Antonio, Texas.  Most out-of-state hunters choose to fly into Corpus Christi, Texas and rent a vehicle to get to the ranch, which is a 70 mile drive.  We ask you to arrive at the ranch gate between 12pm and 9pm.  The gate will only be open during those hours.  Should you be arriving after 9pm, then we require you to call and notify us in advance.  Check out time on the last day of your hunt, will be 8:00pm.

How Long A Trip To Plan:  Hunts are booked with a two day minimum.  Hunters coming from a long distance should try to stay at least three or more days, but it depends on what you are going after.  Call us and we can advise you.

Reservations & Payment:  Our guests call in and reserve the dates they wish to hunt, the reservation is entered into our reservation book and dated, the reservation is guaranteed for 7 days from the date it was phoned in.  This gives our guests 7 days to remit deposit to us, accompanied with a note telling us their name addresses, zip codes, and date they are hunting.  Upon receiving your deposit, we mail the reservation confirmation.  At that point, the balance of your hunt must be paid in the form of Cash or Cashiers Check only upon arrival.  No Exceptions  If you do not remit your deposit in full within 7 days, your reservation will no longer be guaranteed.  

Are Kills Guaranteed?  By the very nature of hunting, kills cannot be guaranteed, but if you’re good enough, there is the opportunity to see or take a wide variety of wildlife.  During the deer seasons, the chance to see or take the biggest BUCK of your life.

Fishing Contest:  We have a pond available for fishing with bass and catfish.  During archery season only, we offer a fishing contest with a $5 entry fee.  If you catch a fish with a tag, then you will win a two day riffle hunt (valued at $500).  So bring your fishing gear!  All fish are catch and release only.

Hog Contest:  We offer a year round hog contest.  There is a $20 entry fee.  Should you shoot a hog with a tag, you will win a two day riffle hunt (valued at $500).

Refund Policy: None.  Your deposit may be used on a future hunt during the same year only.

We provide:  First class, weatherproof deer blinds, doubles and singles, high and low.  They have automatic deer feeders throwing corn twice daily.  We provide full hook ups for motor home and travel trailers.   We also have a target range and 3D range for Bow Hunting only or target points only. Tripods with swivel seats are available for bow hunters at no charge, but may bring your own.

What to Bring:  Hunters bring their own food, drinks, drinking cups, cooking & eating utensils, plates, bath items including soap, towels, bed linens, and hunting gear.  Please bring a flashlight.  You may want to bring field glasses best 10 power. 

What not to Bring:  No 3 or 4 wheelers are allowed during deer season.  

Private Parties:  The entire ranch can be reserved for private parties.  Call for information.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMITTANCE TO ANYONE TO THE RANCH
